 Week 1: Front Kick, Movement, and Movement Defence development

Warm Up (15 min)

Including Movement Drill #1:

– 30 sec 6 x punches – Linear movement

– 30 sec 6 x punches – Lateral movement

– 30 sec 6 x punches – Circle

– 30 sec 6 x punches – Down / Up

 

Front Kick Development Drill (5 min)

Choose 2 from the following

– Front Kick Walking

– Front Kick over pad

– Wall Front Kicks

– Hoping Front Kicks

 

Three Types Of Front Kick (10 min)

– Pick Up

– Step Up

– Rear

 

Combinations (15 min)

– Jab – Rear Front Kick (Every day)

– Jab – Cross – L Front Kick (Every day)

Keep Opponent Away (Every day)

 

Defence Drill (10 min)

– Wedge & Move

 

High Energy Finish (5 min)

– 2 min –10 x Front Kick (left & right) & Sprawl

– 3 min – sit ups drill

 

 Week 2: Round Kick, Movement, and Parry Defence development

 Warm Up (15 min)

Including Movement Drill #1:

– 30 sec Jab / Cross

– 30 sec Front Kicks (left)

– 30 sec Front Kicks (right)

– 30 sec Round Kick (left)

– 30 sec Round Kicks (right)

– 30 Sec Sit Up – 4x punches

                                                                  

Round Kick Development Drill (5 min)

Choose 2 from the following

– Round Kick push off drill

– Walking Round Kicks

– Round Kick over pad

– Hoping Round Kicks

 

Three Types of Kick (10 min)

– Pick Up

– Switch

– Rear

– Jab – R. Round Kick (Mon / Tues / Sat)

– Jab – Cross – L. Round Kick (Mon / Tues / Sat)

Jab – Cross – Hook – R. Round Kick (Mon / Tues / Sat)

Defence (10 min)

– Cover & Move against L. Round Kick – Counter Jab – R. Round Kick (Mon / Tues / Sat)

– Cover & Move against R. Round Kick – Counter Cross – Jab – R. Round Kick (Mon / Tues / Sat)

– Shin Check against L. Round Kick – R. Round Kick (Wed / Thurs)

– Shin Check against R. Round Kick – L. Round Kick (Wed / Thurs)

 

High Energy Finish (5 min)

– 3 min – 5 x Round Kicks (left & right) & 10 x sit ups

 

Week 3: Kickboxing Combinations

– Thai Four Count #1 – L Kick – Cross – Hook – R Kick (Wed / Thurs)
