WEEK 1: Basic Kicks & Set Ups

Warm Up (15 min)
Including Movement Drill #1:
– 30 sec Jab / Cross
– 30 sec L Hook / Cross
– 30 sec L Hook / R Uppercut
– 30 sec Uppercut / Uppercut
– 30 sec L Uppercut / R Cross
– 30 sec Jab / Cross

Kick Development (15 min)
Use Side Kick & Hook Kick with following footwork
– Step up
– Hoping
– Cross Step

Set Ups (15min)
– Lead Hook – Lead Side/Hook kick
– Lead Round Kick – Lead Side/Hook Kick
– Rear Round Kick – Rear Side/Hook Kick

Optional Extras: Faints, Fakes, & Baits
– Fake Jab Low – Jab High
– Fake Jab High – Jab Low
– Fake Cross – Hook
– Fake Hook – Cross
– Short Jab – Hook
– Fake Round Kick – Front Kick
– Fake Low Round Kick – High Round Kick

High Energy Finish (5min)

Specific Sparring: Kicking Only

WEEK 2: Side Kick Combinations & Counters

Warm Up (15 min)
Include Movement Drill #1
– 30 sec 6 x punches – Linear movement
– 30 sec 6 x punches – Lateral movement
– 30 sec 6 x punches – Circle
– 30 sec 6 x punches – Down / Up

Side Kick Combinations (15 min)
– Cross – Hook – Lead Side Kick (Mon/ Tues / Sat)
– Hook – Cross – Lead Round Kick – Lead Side Kick (Mon/ Tues / Sat)
– Cross – Hook – Rear Round Kick – Rear Side Kick (Mon/ Tues / Sat)
– Side Kick – Overhand (Wed / Thurs)
– Side Kick – Round Kick (Wed/ Thurs)

Partner Defense Drill (15 min)
– Wedge / Elbow Parry & Move – R. Kick – Hook – Cross
– Hop Back – R. Kick – Hook – Cross

– Under Round Kick
– Against Jab or Cross

Hook Kick Uses
– Against Opposite Stance

Side / Hook Kick Combinations (15 min)
Either incorporate Side Kick / Hook Kick into Mitt Master System or choose 2 of theses combinations;
– Cross – Hook – Lead Side/ Hook Kick
– Hook – Cross – Lead Round Kick – Lead side / Hook Kick
– Cross – Hook – Rear Round Kick – Rear Side / Hook Kick
